Personally I do not dislike the STD Exhaust System of XSR 900 and MT - 09, but I did not like Sound, so I replaced it with an Exhaust System.
Japanese Vehicle Inspection Correspondence is good for both Visual and Sound, low cost Exhaust System is not quite good, somewhere a compromise was necessary.
The popular AXIS Ο Ο ッ チ is too staple and face White No matter what the FOR JAPAN MODELManufacturer's thing is, Silencer is long and it is not preferred. That's why Telmi, it's your favorite Black pie pre. It was decided from this that there was.
The most concerned Sound is a deep bass that makes full use of the characteristics of 3 cylinder and is personally a GOOD. Sound at ThrottleOff also increases Race ish.
In terms of Power, the difference is not felt, but as Exhaust pipe diameter is small, there is no catalyst, theoretically, exhaust efficiency is good, Peak power should be rising... Pipe's Black Painting also does not have Large crack at the present time, I think quality is high so much.
I am satisfied overall but one thing that I do not understand is that I can not get Baffle. As you can see there is a little welding near with Nut for fixing Baffle. I tried scraping it so as not to scratch it, but I was pretty obstinate. For what?????
The XSR liked the look and color of the Normal muffler, so we considered something with a similar look as much as possible, and finally decided to go with this one.
You have reached [TERMIGNONI TERMIGNONI 3×1 Full Exhaust System Black Spec.
Incidentally [SC-PROJECTComplete Exhaust 3-1 & S1Silencer Black edition It was also good, but since I was buying it? I wanted to be cheap and light. (By the way, when I watched the catalytic Lesmo Dell of SC-PROJECT on YouTube, it was too explosive. (By the way, when I watched SC-PROJECT's catalyst Lesmo Dell on YouTube, it was too explosive, so I quit ……)
Product Accuracy & Difficulty
As for the accuracy of the product, although it is made overseas, it is as if TERMIGNONI is a first-class manufacturer, and I was able to work without any problems at all.
One thing to note is that as others have said, the screw that joins the silencer band to the car body is too short, so if you follow the instructions in the instruction manual it will be tough to install.
I was able to solve this problem with a long Screw that was fastening the OEMExhaust System.
Next [Difficulty level] However, if you are a beginner with no tools and have never worked on a motorcycle before, we cannot recommend this product.
This is a common problem with overseas made parts, but the installation instruction manual is not helpful at all because it is rough with WhiteBlack photos & you can't even see where it shows.
There are some videos on YouTube showing the installation, so even if you refer to these videos, you will not be able to physically do the work unless you have the right tools. (And don't forget to buy a Gasket!)
So, this is a recommendation for intermediate users who are used to working on motorcycles and have a good set of tools.
Or if you have a friend or acquaintance who knows what they're talking about and has the right tools, I'm sure it won't be a problem!
[Sound]
It sublimates to the powerful surface white sound peculiar to three cylinders that the heavy bass sounds.
I wouldn't say the volume is explosive, but I'm not sure if I could hang an engine in a residential area. It is a feeling.
This is also a thing, but from a Motorcycle lover's point of view. That sounds great! But if you are not interested in Motorcycle, you may not like it.
And because the volume doesn't change in large even if the Baffle is detached. "Why don't we just turn on the Baffle and let it warm up early in the morning or late at night? If you are thinking that you can't fit it, unfortunately it won't fit. By the way, the Baffle is welded on, but it is easy to remove if you have knowledge and tools. I used only Slotted screwdriver and Hammer to remove it.
Also, AfterFire becomes more. It is a CPU rewriting Mast. (I didn't rewrite CPU, but ……)
[Rides smoothly]
I didn't feel any noticeable decrease in low-speed torque, which is common with Full Exhaust System replacements. (Is it because it's a 3-cylinder? If it had been a 4-cylinder, I think I would have felt it for sure.
On the other hand, when you rev it up to high RPM, the engine blows up at a level that can't be compared to the OEM.
Since I changed to this Exhaust System, I've been running Style while turning it, so my gas mileage has gone down……at my own risk. lol
Conclusion
'I like the look of the OEMs, but the volume isn't enough! I tinker with Motorcycles all the time! This is definitely a Recommendation for those of you who are!
conversely "I want to change the exhaust system, but I don't want it to be too complicated! I'm a newbie to motorcycle teasing! I can't recommend it to you if you're not a fan!View Detail
I was looking for an all black exhaust system because my MT09 is black.
The All black exhaust system was either an M4 or a Thermi. the M4 was dismissed because it seems to be a blast.
I bought the Thermi because it doesn't seem to be a blast from the images.
However, there is a difference between the product image and the actual product. In the product image, the silencer band is Black, but the attached band is Silver.
By the way, the instruction manual is not reliable. It is hard to understand because the picture is coarse like Small.
So I only checked the instruction manual for parts and didn't look at it afterwards.
Here's what I wish I had done after I put it on.
? Well, the first thing I'm confused about is the three exhaust manifolds. It has a number on it, but which one is number 1 and which one is number 3?
But you can find out about this by tentatively assembling the exhaust system. (You can easily tell which one it is by the location of the spring hook weld.)
? First of all, I saw a video on YouTube etc. with the MT09 Telmignoni on it, the assembly of the 3 exhaust manifolds, where the Silencer is attached, and the angle.
(The grouping of the three exhaust manifolds is in relation to the oil pan, and the angle of the exhaust gas center attachment point.
Silencer is positioned and angled with the Swing Arm and Rightfootpeg, where the Silencer band is attached). ) to your phone and save it.
You can use this as a reference for installation to avoid confusion in positioning.
(Since there are many joints, there is a lot of freedom in positioning and without a photo to reference, it's hard to tell which one is correct.)
? After removing the Exhaust Gas Sensor, do not turn on the engine until the Exhaust System is replaced and put on again.
(If you don't adhere to this, you'll get an error and seem to have to take it to Dealer to turn it off.)
? The Silencer band is stiff, so the installation is M8×40th Bolt (Purchased separately) After tightening the bolts at both ends, replace them with OEM bolts and retighten them.
(The OEMBolt is about 20mm in length, so it's hard to put on.) You don't have to do this if you have the power to do so.
? The order of attaching is temporary fixing of the exhaust manifold, temporary fixing of the assembly, fixing of Silencer band, temporary fixing of Silencer and temporary fixing of Silencer band.
? Next, after positioning with reference to the scoop, tighten with the specified torque and install the spring.
(Note:If you put Spring on first, you'll have to remove it when you reposition it).
? Buy a liquid Gasket and Spring hook mounting device. (You can use the spring hook mounting device that comes with it, but it's much easier if you have it.)
? If there is an exhaust leak, reapply the liquid Gasket with the Exhaust System removed again. (If you paint it from the beginning, you won't have to remove it if you have an exhaust leak.)
I have installed it three times, removing it due to a positioning failure and again due to an exhaust leak.
The third time I was able to install it in less than 15 minutes.
I think it would have been one time if I looked at the positioning squares from the beginning and applied liquid Gasket to all of them.
Afterwards, I drove a little bit, but I didn't feel like I was getting less low-speed torque.
I like the sound as a whole, it's very powerful. It's not bombastic, but it's Level for neighbors in the early morning and late at night.
The Baffle is point-welded and won't come off easily, and I'd like to try for RaceBaffle as well...
In a nutshell, that's my personal opinion.View Detail
