Firstly Zeta make awaesome products and quality is always top notch, now regarding this product I recomend keeping the factory preload spacer tubes and not using the ones from ZETA that come in the pack as they are shorter (less preload) than what the factory spacers are in a JA65 / Gen 2. I cannot comment for a JA55 / Gen 1. SO if you just undow the fork cap bolts, just drop in the Zeta adjustable preload bolt set to about a third of the travel on the bolt, you will be away with a nice level fork when riding.
These parts are designed to prevent the air inside the fork from expanding and contracting as the temperature inside the fork changes during the ride, changing the effectiveness of the air spring.
This is a convenient way to operate the Breeder with one push of a finger instead of using a slotted screwdriver to turn it.
Most motorcycles have a manual air capacity adjustment when the fork is fully extended, meaning the wheel is floating. So in most cases, the temperature of the fork will rise while driving, and when the internal pressure of the fork rises, I think it is the way to use according to the manual to float the wheel and release the large air.
By the way, when I actually used it, I think that the change of the internal pressure by the difference of the temperature of the morning and the daytime is Large as well as the change during driving. Especially, it is remarkable in summer. The empty plastic bottle and the empty can "Pop. It seems that the same thing is happening inside Fork.
And there is another way to use this Parts, because it is easy to bleed air with One push, so if you bleed air while riding 1G’, you can get the effect similar to lowering the oil level, reducing the amount of stroke, making Damper effective, etc. while driving. It is only a pseudo, but our feeling is that it is generally 'There will be less Strokes. Less lumpy ride, Damper extension from near Full Bottom works so you can easily use it depending on the running scene.
By the way, I tried to measure the sag by retracting the FFork as much as possible in the state of riding 1G’, but the value was hard to become constant even if Damper was set to the weakest. This is probably because it is in a halfway state, with 1G’ at the center, negative pressure works in the direction of extension, and reaction force is applied in the direction of contraction. Other factors such as Spring rate, Initial, etc. are also involved, but it is necessary to take this air pressure into consideration when setting out, otherwise you may fall into a trap.
Also, this Parts is very vulnerable to moisture penetration. Is it possible that the moisture is coming from the Button part? Is it? This type of KYB's fork cap has a hollow top. The top of the fork spring will be roasted if it is not good.
I applied a lot of silicon grease to the O-ring of the part that is inserted into the fork top cap to make it seal a little bit. If the O-ring is screwed in too tightly, the O-ring will be torn to shreds, so you need to be careful about Torque management. By the way, it seems that the air tightness is kept enough even by hand tightening. As an added bonus, when I wash the car, I carefully air blow the water away and when I store it, I cover the entire Top Bridge with a Vinyl bag.
As you can see in the image from the side, it juts out from the Top cap, so there is a limit to how far it can stick out and the direction of the cap, and when disassembling the fork, it takes a little more work.
However, it is a unique Parts, so if you are interested in it, please try it.View Detail
I'm someone who likes to open up the air for FFork on a regular basis. Purchased for air breeder purpose. Because you don't have to remove the fork cap every time you want to release the air pressure. It is easy to open the air. By the way, FFork air opening is a recommended maintenance. By opening the air when the FFork is extended by Jack or other Cornering's FFork movement calms down.View Detail
The installation was done reliably by checking the video etc After a month or two of wearing it, when you start to wear the Front up Immediately there was an Oil leak at the point of pulling the Air out I couldn't fix it by hardening it or softening it or OHing the Fork I've reverted to the OEM CapView Detail
SEROW is also often driven on the on-road, and the soft Front is inevitably Stop & It becomes a Stress on the go, but I wonder if it's reduced after installation? IIRC, I'm going to replace the Tire with a Two-Ten next time, so it might work better for me Button without Air (?) When you push the button, the air is released and I found out that air can accumulate unexpectedly
A few drawbacks of the product When installing the top cap, use the 27mm glasses wrench or the Socket You need a wrench It's a size you don't get to use very often, so it's better to get a motorcycle shop to do it for you It may be cheaper than buying tools Also, the product is not very strong, or soft, and it scratches quickly, and Adjuster a few times The beautiful gold will be torn to shreds if you use Wrench
It's more comfortable to use the OEM colors to put in the Fork as they are in a certain Racer imprint I've read that it comes, and I'd like to try it eventuallyView Detail
I put it on a bit as I often ride two people -This product can be adjusted in the range of +5 to +10mm In the meantime, don't make it the strongest, give it +5mm, and extend the suspension and air bleeders When I adjusted it, I was surprised at how many different looks it made Motorcycle habits change, so I'm sure people will have different opinions I found it to be very good for me
If you think it's too expensive, you can apply 5mm of washer first and see how it goes View Detail
As aslways Zeta hit it out of the park, the only light guard that actually covers the entire headlight with a piece of arcylic bolted to a nice alloy frame that enables unobstructed view of the headlight, but 100% protected. The others are just a bit of thin steel wire/tube that will not stop rocks or similar to hit the headlight. Installation was super easy !, also works with all the other Zeta/DRC accesories. In my pics you can see it with the Zeta ADV windsheild View Detail
